In the Peer Review Team's evaluation (called the EQUIS Quality Profile), SSE was judged to be above standard in ten areas. SSE was not considered to be below standard in any area. By 鈥渁bove standard," EQUIS has decided that SSE has demonstrated outstanding quality, well above the level required to satisfy EQUIS standards in specific areas. SSE can be considered an example of 鈥渂est practice" in these areas.

- The program design and quality of students in the selected program, Master in International Business
- Positioning and output of research
- Ethics, responsibility and sustainability
- Contributions to the wider community
- National corporate links
- Context, governance and strategy

It also houses the SSE Business Laboratory which is a small business incubator. SSE is rightly and highly regarded as a leader in ethics, responsibility and sustainability."
