Veronica Guerrieri

Veronica Guerrieri studies macroeconomics, search theory, labor and financial market frictions, dynamic contracting, and growth theory. Guerrieri won the 鈥淏ern谩cer Prize鈥 in 2015, the 鈥淐arlo Alberto medal鈥 in 2013, the 鈥淎lfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship鈥 in 2011, and the 鈥淓xcellence Award in Global Economic Affairs鈥 in 2010 from the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. Guerrieri is an editor of the Review of Economic Studies and an associate editor of the Journal of Economic Literature. Guerrieri earned her bachelor鈥檚 degree summa cum laude and master鈥檚 degree in economics from Universit脿 Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan in 2000 and 2001, respectively, and a PhD in economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2006. She joined Chicago Booth in 2006, she has been a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research since 2013, and she has been a consultant at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago since 2014. She has been a visiting professor at MIT, Yale, LSE, NYU, CREI and EIEF and a Visiting Scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
