On Tuesday October 4th, the SSE Sport Initiative had its second event of the Sports & Inclusiveness Week with a lunch panel discussion with representatives from the EPOS network, Karin Torneklint and the Swedish Ski Association on the topic of The United Sports Front for Inclusion.

On Monday October 3rd, the SSE Sport Initiative kicked off its Sports & Inclusiveness Week with a lunch lecture by Karin Torneklint, former Head Coach of the Swedish Athletics Federation, on the topic of Insights from a Career in Sports Federations.

The º£½ÇÉçÇøÏÂÔØ School of Economics' SSE Sport Initiative officially launched this week with a lunch seminar on Tuesday, August 9th, on the topic of "Combining Passion and Rationality - Finding a Dream Career within Sports". Over 50 newly admitted SSE Bachelor Students attended the event, which was fully booked within a day.

On June 29th, the Center for Sports and Business held an advisory board meeting taking place at the º£½ÇÉçÇøÏÂÔØ School of Economics. This meeting brought together members of the Center for Sports & Business as well as members of our advisory board to discuss strategic issues for the Center’s future development.

At the beginning of June, the Center for Sports and Business was invited to the 4th Edition of Swedish Elite Football’s (SEF) Network Arena, a 2-day conference that took place in Berlin, Germany.

On May 2nd, the Center for Sports and Business was invited to a partner event organized by Hammarby Football at Biblioteket Restaurang & Bar where Center Director Martin Carlsson-Wall held a lecture on the topic Life after COVID-19: How to become a winner? for Hammarby’s partners. The day was wrapped up by watching Hammarby’s home game against Malmö at Tele2 Arena.

On February 24th, Martin Carlsson-Wall, the Director for the Center for Sports and Business and Course Director of the new elective course Investments and Value Creation in Global Sports on the master level received the Outstanding Pedagogical Achievement Award for autumn 2021.

Academia in the age of Coronavirus (COVID-19) – NEW one-day VIRTUAL paper & idea development workshop on "Leveraging sports contexts to advance management research"

The º£½ÇÉçÇøÏÂÔØ School of Economics’ Center for Sports and Business is embarking on a new collaboration with Parasport Sweden to help boost the organization during its journey of change. In the long term, the ambition is for elite parasport athletes to perform at a higher level and for the organization to become more profitable.

We share our jogging achievements, put sensors in our shoes, and keep track of every heartbeat. Technology is an increasingly important tool for the athlete in reaching their full potential. Today, the Swedish Olympic Academy launches a new initiative to strengthen sports innovation in Sweden.
