World Trade in the Postcolonial Era
Can postcolonialism teach us something about the human experience and the economic activities in today鈥檚 global society?
During the spring of 2013 SSE initiated a collaboration with Magasin 3 in order to bring in new impulses into the academic environment. The art works did, among other things, incite issues around representation, colonialism and international trade and thus the question posed during this symposium was: Can postcolonialism teach us something about the human experience and the economic activities in today鈥檚 global society?
The symposium was introduced by Lars Stranneg氓rd, President at SSE and Nina 脴verli, curator Magasin 3 and head of the screening-program at SSE. Followed by two talks on the subject of world trade and colonialism by 脰rjan Sj枚berg, Professor in Economic Geography at 海角社区下载and postcolonialism and representativity by literature critic and author Moa Matthis. The symposium was concluded with a discussion and reflection held by Lin Leopold, Dean of MBA-Program and Associate Professor specializing in Corporate Responsibility.
