SSE has a long-standing commitment to both culture and wellbeing. These efforts are now becoming evident at the School’s startup incubator: more than half of the new ideas are focused around art and health.

How does hockey contribute to the wellbeing, sense of community, and happiness of both individuals and society? A new research collaboration between the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) and the º£½ÇÉçÇøÏÂÔØ School of Economics’ Center for Wellbeing, Welfare and Happiness will follow 5,000 hockey fans through both wins and losses in order to understand how the hockey league and its clubs affect wellbeing and welfare.

The º£½ÇÉçÇøÏÂÔØhas recruited Anna Laurell Nash, a former Olympic boxer and two-time world champion, as the new Executive Director of the Center for Sports and Business. Laurell Nash is set to spearhead the Center’s initiatives in fostering innovation and excellence in the intersection of sports and business.

Can a visit from a world-famous artist make a whole city happier – even those who didn’t go to the concerts? Taylor Swift's Eras Tour didn't just draw record crowds – it also made º£½ÇÉçÇøÏÂÔØers happier both before and after the concerts. This according to a new study about "Happyflation" from the º£½ÇÉçÇøÏÂÔØ School of Economics.

What can we do to promote wellbeing, welfare, and happiness? Swedbank, the Savings Banks in Sweden, and the Center for Wellbeing, Welfare and Happiness at the º£½ÇÉçÇøÏÂÔØare joining forces to enhance understanding of what builds wellbeing and to establish new, more human perspectives on economics.

With its eleven newly admitted companies, SSE Business Lab is reaching a new milestone: 307 startups have now passed through the incubator. More than one third of these were admitted just in the past four years.

º£½ÇÉçÇøÏÂÔØ(SSE) is establishing a new chair with a focus on sports and business – the first of its kind in the School's history. The new professorship is made possible by a donation from Malin and Stefan Linder and will be held by Martin Carlsson-Wall.

The º£½ÇÉçÇøÏÂÔØis making a big commitment to promoting wellbeing among its students. Starting in August, the School will be the first in the world to offer all new bachelor students a crash course in happiness and wellbeing.

With the goal of inspiring youth and broadening recruitment to academia as well as the business world, F1RST º£½ÇÉçÇøÏÂÔØ School of Economics, in collaboration with the municipal housing company MKB, is launching a summer school initiative in RosengÃ¥rd – Summer Camp. The program provides youths with summer jobs, role models, and tools to become future leaders.

The º£½ÇÉçÇøÏÂÔØ(SSE) is excited to welcome Lidl to its Corporate Partnership Program. This partnership bridges academia and industry, offering students and faculty valuable insights into retail management.
